37 weeks
I guess I owe you guys an update.
I’m officially full term! So in theory the baby can come any time from here on in and that’d be fine. I’m trying to prepare myself for being overdue though since everyone I know has…
Here are the obligatory 37 week photos:
With pregnancy has come an inability to pose well for photos so excuse my facial expressions (and the PJ bottoms). Good photos of me are a distant memory.
I stopped work at 34 weeks and since then have been trying to get things done and fill my time before baby arrives, which is easier said than done. At this point in the game you’d think we’d have a nursery sorted, but alas no. We’ve just about finished sorting the damp problem out in there so the room needs painting and new carpet before we can go any further. It’s driving me crazy since I’m pretty much in nesting mode now.
Physically I’ve been feeling great. I get heartburn and acid reflux regularly and tire easily. But generally I’ve been fine. Weirdly, my IBS hasn’t been a problem. I think the main element of this pregnancy that hasn’t gone “to plan” is that my fundal height (i.e. bump) has been measuring small all the way along. Since I’m a mere 1.54m tall this hardly comes as a surprise but my midwife insisted I go for a growth scan. All was fine and the estimated weight of the baby at term is 6lbs 3oz (just about within the normal range). At this point I’ve gained 22 pounds which I think is just over the minimum for this point in pregnancy. I’ll take it. It’s just a shame I can’t choose where the weight goes! I’ve been walking 2-3 miles up to 4 times a week. My appetite is all over the place. I’m either constantly hungry or shockingly full. However, I think the baby is dropping as more stomach space has been created over the last week which is great.
I think that’s it. I don’t want to bore you guys with any more details but feel free to ask questions if you have any.
Maybe I’ll pop back at 38 weeks, post baby shower

yayyyyyyy!!! youre so adorable

hooray for wearing pjs all day long every day. i think kyles so sick of my sweatsuit hes going to burn it post-pregnancy!
i feel you on the weight gain – its very confusing that im on the lower end of the spectrum bc i have some very lovely cellulite thats appeared on my butt and legs.
im sorta jealous your ibs hasnt been an issue. id heard that same thing from a few different people, so i was optimistic that mine would kinda subside throughout pregnancy but no such luck.
dont worry about having the nursery sorted out yet. people made me all kinds of nervous when i was at week 36 and still didnt have hardly anything, but it has all worked out. your little one is going to have the cutest nursery w all your nesting.
have an awesome shower!!!
xxx
