How is it 2013 already?

Hello there!

It’s no surprise if you don’t remember me.  My absence has been stupidly long.  To be honest, I was in two minds about whether to pop back in or just continue with my unintentional break.  But today I thought to myself “hey, I’m on mat leave.  I have lots of free time.  I’m getting bored already… kind of… so I may as well get back to blogging”.  So here I am.  Plus, there are 2 things I absolutely must blog about.

Firstly, I took part in Tamzin’s Christmas Cookie Exchange and the lovely Anna sent me these goodies:

All vegan.  The lighter coloured ones were lemon cookies, whilst the darker ones were oat and raisin.  The latter were my fave, whereas the lemon ones were Tom’s fave.  Thanks Anna!  Great packaging too.  Impressive.

Secondly, ages ago the lovely people at Popchips sent me some snacks to review:

I’m all about healthy snacks since I’m a snack monster.  I didn’t think it was possible, but snacks have increased massively since I’ve been in the third trimester and my stomach space at any one time is compromised (that’s for another time though).

I (and my colleagues at work who I shared them with) enjoyed every flavour of these.  However, I found the salted and salt & pepper variety too salty for my tastes.  But I think I’m extra sensitive to salt.  Either way, these are defo worth a purchase.

There.  I’ve done what I’ve needed to do.  Now all that’s left is for me to find my foodie self, which has been MIA since being pregnant.  It’s so weird.  I have relatively little interest in food for the most part, and my taste buds have changed.  All this better return post baby!  We’ll see.  I’ll try to pop back in again soon.  I may give a pregnancy update too.  We’ll see.
