Sick but Speedy

Happy Friday!

It’s been quite the eventful one and it’s not even lunchtime.  I had to make an impromptu visit to my dentist this morning.  I see my dentist far too often.  It turns out that my gum is infected from some food that got stuck (TMI?  Soz), and the infection has got into my system.  Hence I have swollen glands, painful sinuses and a fever.  Nevermind.  I have antibiotics and am dosing up on paracetamol before I head into work this afternoon.

Since I’m working this weekend, late shifts Friday and Sunday, I thought I’d quickly stop by to share some of what I’ve been enjoying this week.

Not surprisingly, my appetite has been muted so my portion sizes have been a little small.

Breakfasts have been all about oats, banana and almond milk and variations there of.


Packed lunches have also been rather repetitive.




All of the above have this kale and quinoa combo as a base with add-ins like roasted sweet potatoes and parsnips.

And then these snacks:


I like repetition and habits.  There’s something comforting about them, don’t you think?  And these habits have the addition of being low FODMAP!

Time to haul myself from my sick-bed and get ready for work (lucky my infection isn’t contagious so my patients should be safe!).
